UK Industrial Tapes turn 18 years old. The years have been fantastic to us and the company has seen substantial growth.
Brian our Managing Director brought over his knowledge and experience from working with another Manufacturer and Launched
UK Industrial Tapes 1st April 1997. In the beginning it was Brian and a small team producing our range of tapes we started trading with. Brian saw what the market needed and Launched the Picture Framing range and then developed products to be used for the
Glass, Glazing and Construction Industry.
In 2003 Brian launched
POS Tapes to supply the market with specialist adhesive tapes, foam pads, hanging solutions and both flexible and ridgid parts for POS applications.
POS Tapes is now a large part of the business serving over 1,000 Customers both High Street brands and Distributors across the UK, Europe and America.
Brian is a family man and in 2005 the Launch of
Stix2 saw his wife Ruth joining the team to run the Craft and Hobby side of the Industry.
Stix2 attends Craft Hobby and Stitch International every year and now have over 1,500 craft and hobby products for Card makers, Scrap bookers, Crafts, Stationary shops, and many more. With growth every year the
Stix2 team are going from strength to strength and have a customer base over 3,000 who regularly purchase stock and promote the range.
Due to growth it was time to move and in 2010 the company moved from Team Valley Trading Estate to our current HQ, Brumwell House, Throckley, Newcastle Upon Tyne, NE15 9EW. With over 20,000 Square feet. This allowed us to both produce and store all our products to make this immediately available for our customers. In our production department we have; Automatic log slitters, Ident automatic rotary converting machines, Automatic re-wind machines, Automatic shrink and roll labeling lines, Screen printing process and a contract packing department. We have grown from 3 people in 1997 to a team of 40 in 2015.
